Paul Jacobs, chairman of the Organ Department at The Juilliard School in New York City, made his first solo organ recording on three Beckerath Pipe Organs, featuring works by J.S. Bach. The three pipe organs featured on this recording are the von Beckerath installations at St. Paul's Cathedral, Pittsburgh, St. Michael's Church, New York City, and Dwight Chapel at Yale University. Jacobs' precise, controlled and highly musical playing makes for a truly splendid recording of the organ works of J.S. Bach.
This recording comes with extensive documentation: notes on the music, stoplist and numerous photos.
