Mark Dwyer has been the Director of Music at Boston’s Church of the Advent since 2007; where he directs the church’s renowned choir. Mr. Dwyer also maintains an active concert performance schedule. This DVD features works of the American organist, Leo Sowerby, the 19th-century English composer, Sir Hubert Parry and Louis Vierne, the blind organist of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. The program shows all the many tonal colors of this landmark Aeolian-Skinner Organ. The video was recorded with three camera angles which switch through the performance showing the pedals, and 2 angles of organ manuals. A pair of microphones were positioned in the Nave and are synced with the cameras. The DVD comes with notes on the music by Mark Dwyer and notes on the organ by Jonthan Ambrosino.
