Daniel Brondel plays the pipe organ at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, performing organ works that exhibit the instrument’s full, dynamic range. He plays Widor’s famous “Toccata” from the 5th Organ Symphony, Purcell’s “Trumpet Tune”, to which many brides have walked down the aisle. The “new” Triforium Trumpet, installed by the Peragallo Organ Company in 1997, is heard in this recording in Gigout’s “Grand Choeur Dialogue” and a thrilling transcription of Prokofiev’s “March” from The Love of Three Oranges. Mr. Brondel is the Associate Director of Music at Saint Patrick’€™s Cathedral and a very active organist, pianist and singer. He performs solo recitals in the United States and France. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, where he studied organ with David Higgs and improvisation with Gerre Hancock and Rick Erickson, Mr. Brondel holds a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance.
